From a young age I was fascinated by snow globes, the ones you turn and the flakes gently slide down. Feeling a bit nostalgic, I thought this year would be the perfect time to create our own snow globe, a simple project to do with children. Let's learn together how to make handmade Christmas decorations.

Ingredients needed:

A jar with a lid

Distilled water

Glycerin – available at pharmacies

A plastic figurine – a fir tree or small animal

Pieces of bacon or glitter

Adhesive or glue

First, wash the jar thoroughly and let it dry. Using some sandpaper, roughen the inside of the lid so that you can glue on the figurine. You can use a fir tree, a Santa Claus, or an animal.

Stick it on and let it dry. Then fill the jar with distilled water. Add a drop of glycerin; this will be enough for a 400-gram jar. It is important not to use too much so as not to thicken the water.

In the final stage, pour in the glitter or confetti. The quantity is relative, depending on the effect you desire. Then add the figurine, secure the lid, mix well and it's done. Your snow globe is ready to decorate your environment for these holidays.

For an extra touch, you can paint the jar lid. You can give it as a gift or simply enjoy this DIY project with your children.
