Architect Sergiu Califar and his team from Pure-Mess Design have set out to take us today on a vacation journey with an arrangement inspired by the Greek islands. We are talking about a 3-room apartment, with an area of 80 square meters, located in a residential complex in Bucharest.
Open Gallery The inspiration for the arrangement came directly from the beneficiaries, a young couple who love to travel, Greece being one of their favorite destinations. Hence the passion for shades of blue and turquoise that they wanted integrated into the design, a chromaticism that would take them back to vacation and relaxation.
The designers at Pure-Mess listened to the wishes of the beneficiaries and developed an arrangement project whose concept starts from the Greek island of Santorini, while also aiming to obtain a functional and modern space.
A major advantage is the positioning of the apartment, with a view of Lake Morii and Crangasi Park and especially the large glazed surfaces through which you can admire the enviable panorama.
Living Area
The living area takes shape as a whole thanks to the blue, blue-indigo, turquoise palette, up to accents of yellow (see the bench in the dining area) and beiges like sand, all on a neutral background of natural wood essences that transform everything into a warm and welcoming home. The arrangement maintains a contemporary character through the lines of the design.
The composition of the living room furniture is noteworthy, closed bodies versus open shelves, an excellent play of geometries rendered against the backdrop of a stylized wallpaper signed by Barbara Becker. The dining table and lighting fixtures were made by Domicilio, perfectly integrated into the thematic context.
Kitchen
The kitchen was conceived as a fresh but also chic area at the same time. The mix of white-blue and wood manages to surprise and somewhat break the linearity of the composition. The turquoise colored glass panel reminds us again of the marine motif; the front of the furniture is made of painted MDF. Appliances are incorporated inside the cabinets, giving a visual unity to the arrangement.
