Researchers at the MIT Media Lab have created this futuristic device that makes an apartment appear much larger than it actually is. Called City Home, the device utilizes advanced technology and seems straight out of the movie Star Trek.

Those who created it also call it "Casa dintr-o cutie". It is motorized and compact, multifunctional, has built-in sensors, motors, LED lights, and, very importantly, can be controlled by voice command. The built-in sensors can also interpret hand movements, allowing for control through voice or touch.

Essentially, placed in a room, through its incorporated functions, this "box" makes the space appear three times larger. It could be described as a larger mechanical wardrobe, but what matters most is not its appearance but its contents: a bed, a workspace, a table for six people, a kitchen stove and other kitchen utensils, and a multifunctional storage space.

The entire device can be moved around the room whenever needed, as it has wheels for easy transportation. It is also extendable and retractable depending on the situation. It even has a function called "Party mode" which prepares the house for a party.

Although City Home is still in the prototype phase, researcher Kent Larson and his team intend to bring this product to market on a large scale with the help of a sponsor who shares their vision.

The primary target audience is young urban dwellers who don't need a lot of living space and want to stay up-to-date with the latest technology.
