Ideas involving pallet reuse seem to be limitless. The swing in the image was made from pallets, and the object that was previously used for transporting goods has been transformed into a true relaxation item. The swing can be hung under the shade of a tree in your yard or even on the balcony.
If you enjoy tinkering and have a toolbox at your disposal, you can even build such a swing yourself.
Here are the materials and tools you will need:
electric saw or hand saw;
drill and drill bit
very strong rope;
grinding wheel for grinding;
wooden pallets as complete as possible, without broken or cracked boards;
hammer
Lake and brush.
The steps you need to take are as follows:
Carefully disassemble the pallets. Two pallets are required for a swing like the one in the photograph;
Determine the width of the swing and carefully cut the planks so that all components are equal.
Drill a series of holes along the edges of the planks, maintaining a specific order. All planks should have the same number of holes and approximately in the same location.
Sand all components thoroughly on both sides, paying special attention to the areas where holes have been drilled.
Apply a coat of lacquer to all the planks and let dry.
Once you have assembled all the elements of the swing, begin threading the rope through the holes in the planks, trying to maintain the order. Refer to the accompanying photograph for better understanding.
