The beginning of the university year is approaching fast. Many students have already started their searches or have already found the place they will occupy during their three or four years of study.
You are probably wondering how to furnish your room to make it as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Here's what we suggest.
A dormitory room or a rented apartment is usually impersonal and often requires more or less significant modifications. After the mandatory cleaning, it's time to personalize your room. Think about things that represent you, objects with which you identify, perhaps your favorites. Aside from your laptop or computer, of course.
Although you may not have thought about it, bedding is important for your mood and a good night's sleep. So choose linens with geometric patterns, brightly colored for your well-being. If the bed and space allow, choose a few decorative pillows that you can personalize if you wish, or choose other available options.
Choose a poster to hang on the wall. It's a perfect way to fill empty space and especially to dress up boring walls. You can also paint the walls in your favorite colors. If you will have roommates, ask for their consent so that everyone agrees with the changes you want to make.
Another simple method of personalizing your space is to mount photos on the wall or near your desk with any theme you desire. Or a decorative panel for cute things that will inspire you in one way or another.
If you are a nostalgic person, bring some personal items with you to remind you of home. If this doesn't describe you, then it's time to show your independence and start a DIY (do it yourself) project to put your personal stamp on it. We are sure it will be a source of pride in front of your roommates and parents.
