In designing the bedroom area, everything revolves around the feeling of comfort and relaxation you desire at the end of a busy day. For many of us, however, the bedroom is more than just a space for rest; it's also where we store some of our clothes, create a workspace, or a reading nook.

But what about personal space and how do we integrate it? With our little boudoir corner, that makeup table for our cosmetics and jewelry. I propose today to talk a bit about this subject, often ignored due to lack of space.

Every woman needs to feel good in her own skin. That's why she needs her beauty space. Probably many of you will say that everything you need for personal care is found in the bathroom cabinet.

This can be called your intimate space, but is it sufficient? Let's think about how many makeup products and creams need to be stored in places away from moisture and heat, which is why the bathroom is not a suitable environment for them.

Then, where can you store jewelry, perfumes, and nail polish bottles so that you can access them easily without walking from one room to another? This highlights the need to create, even if it's small, a space dedicated to your needs.

Lack of space is often invoked when talking about such an arrangement. With a little creativity, you can achieve beautiful and functional things at the same time.

Let's think first about the easiest type of arrangement: your nightstand. A model with 2 drawers, a mirror, and a lamp can provide the framework you need. Or you can forego the traditional nightstand and opt for a small table (slightly taller than a nightstand) to which you can add a chair (an ottoman-style model, upholstered and comfortable that takes up very little space).

Be creative in this small space you've created. Choose a holder (a stylized tray) to gather perfumes and nail polishes together, perhaps a stand for your most frequently used necklaces so they are always within reach. Makeup kits and specific tools can remain in the drawer.

Keep only what pleases you on display: a favorite perfume bottle or a photo of loved ones. You don't want this space to look too cluttered.

A suspended countertop mounted on the wall opposite the bed or even by the window (see the arrangement in the gallery) can play the role of your mini boudoir in the bedroom. Another practical idea for your beauty island could be corner shelves that you can use to store your belongings.

They can be custom-made according to your needs and the space you are willing to allocate to this arrangement.

Ideally, you should install a mirror in this makeup area, a model that matches the style of the decor (round or rectangular) and lighting that you can use with confidence, such as LED strips around it or a simple bedside lamp that you can move as needed.
