The Hammock Over time, the hamac has become a true symbol of moments of relaxation spent outdoors. These portable beds offer both optimal ventilation and the comfort so necessary during rest periods. There are many ways to build your own hamac, but we will show you a simple method for weaving a net using only rope and a few wooden bars.
Here are the materials and construction stages:
Three wooden bars with a diameter of 50 millimeters and a length of 80 centimeters.
two wooden bars with a diameter of 20 millimeters and a length of 100 centimeters;
two spools of very strong synthetic cord. You choose the color according to your preferences.
a spool of white rope thicker than the other two, which will be used for the main support elements of the hammock;
Holsuruburi
drill
measuring roulette;
Smirghel;
scissors
The steps you need to take are as follows:
Measure the wooden bars with a tape measure and determine the size of the hammock. We chose for our hammock to be 80 centimeters wide by 100 centimeters high.
On the thick pieces of wood, make two holes at each end. One hole will be used for the wooden bars, and the other will be used to attach one of the support ropes.
Sand the holes made with the drill using sandpaper.
After shaping the hammock into a square, secure the contact points with holtsuruburi.
Place the square wooden Agata on a wall or fence and prepare it for weaving the hammock netting onto it.
Cut 16 pieces of the thinnest string, each 8 meters long. Place them in two groups and tie a loop like the one in the image. Continue in this manner with the remaining sections.
Bring two links closer together and carefully observe the movement in the image.
After you have made the knot shown in the image, apply the same movement to the other pieces of string.
Depending on how large you want the mesh openings to be, determine the intervals at which the following knots will be made and tie the string according to the example in the image.
Continue in this manner for the following pieces of string;
The length of the net should be greater than the height of the wooden frame by approximately 40 centimeters.
Attach the net's end to the other wooden element at the frame's end.
Make sure the knots are secure.
The third wooden bar will be used to create the main support element from which the hammock will hang. It will be secured with thick rope, following the pattern shown in the image.
Now that you've seen how easy it can be to hang a hammock net, all that's left is for you to get started. Patience is a very important ingredient. Good luck!
