A comfortable atmosphere at home means not setting the air conditioner below 25°C, and the indoor temperature should not be more than 6°C lower than the outdoor temperature. In other words, if it's 32°C outside, it shouldn't be less than 26°C inside.

When you are not at home, a modern air conditioner should be kept on auto mode all day long, at a temperature of 28 degrees. At the office, where there are more people and the doors are not always closed, the recommended temperature to set is 23 degrees.

On scorching days the difference can increase, but not by more than 10°C, to avoid thermal shock caused by large temperature differences when transitioning from a cold environment to a very hot one and vice versa.

In addition to periodic maintenance, which involves cleaning the internal components of the air conditioner and preventing the development of mold or bacteria, setting the air conditioner to temperatures that are too low should be avoided because it reduces indoor humidity, which leads to drying of the membranes in the nose and throat, and this can cause symptoms similar to a cold.
