Within the framework of the International Fair for Products and Systems for Interior and Exterior Design, held from March 8-11 at Romexpo, arch. Miruna Ardelean, trainer of the Atelierele I LB AH Interior Design Course, delivered the conference ‘H YG GE or The Art of Living Happily’.

Opening the GaleriaModerata PR office in Ploiesti, Luiza Toboc and Miruna discussed the concept "hygge," pronounced "hooga," the latest trend in interior design. Having become a way of life for Scandinavians and spread internationally in recent years, the notion is difficult to define in words.

It represents more of a state of mind, a feeling offered by the objects around us. It is the art of creating comfort, intimacy, and warmth.

The concept is applicable in any space and season, but the idea truly takes shape during the cold season. In your own home, it can be achieved through the intimate atmosphere created by candles or a fire in the fireplace. As for textile materials, soft fabrics, thick blankets, knitted pillows, or fluffy rugs are preferred. However, hygge is not only about the sensations created by objects but also about people.

A home-cooked meal or hot chocolate shared with family and loved ones creates a sense of security and comfort.

Thus, despite rising stress levels in countries around the world, Danes view life with calmness and serenity, and surveys rank them among the happiest people on earth, along with residents of other Scandinavian countries.
