Curved furniture lines, combinations of wood with stone or metal and materials with soft textures, all in shades inspired by nature

Paris Design Week is the statement event in Europe, where trends are set for the following year, and Maison & Objet is undoubtedly the place where interior design specialists were present to find out what the home of 2024 will look like.

Alexa Rădulesgcu, Manager Infinity for Home, reveals what the trends are regarding furniture, decorations, upholstery, color schemes, found at Paris Design Week and shares them with those who want to upgrade their homes, in accordance with the new lines in the deco area.

When asked what the most important interior design trend for next year is, Alexa highlighted:

“Next year's trend in design and furnishing focuses on simple, classic shapes and colors that soften and, I would say, warm up the space. Wood and stone will be statement elements, combined with textured and fine upholstery, and we will return to curved shapes, but well-defined, combined with textures as close as possible to natural ones, such as fabrics, textiles, leather, boucle, cotton.

Monochromy will also be one of the trends next year, regardless of what we choose from the color palette.

A lot of emphasis will be placed on curved lines, I would say it will be a "back to basic" approach from the perspective of furniture design, a trend that you can also find for objects in the Infinity for Home portfolio, for example for the sofa Lisabona or the armchair Rona”.

In addition, Alexa Rădulescu says that if 2024 were a color palette, it could be called "back to nature".

“Although accent colors are still being used, they are inspired by the shades found in nature: dark green, copper, orange-copper, are the most commonly used colors. From the non-color palette we have: cream, beige, cappuccino, browns, brown, ivory white, white, black”.

Combinations of wood with warm, soft textures will triumph next year

When asked how the furniture pieces discovered at Paris Design Week presented themselves, the manager of Infinity for Home detailed:

“Next year we are returning to nature and emphasis will be placed on atypical shapes, I have observed that the trend of using curved lines for furniture pieces will be more pronounced in 2024. It will not be surprising, for example, to find elements from the country style combined with minimalist furniture pieces, to which bohemian-style interior decor pieces will be added.

From a structural point of view, wood and natural woody shades will represent the trend. We find variants of black painted wood, for rattan chairs or tables with flattened legs, such as the Boavista model or the Baleri model from the Infinity for Home range.
