Interior Design Trends: Grey Tone Decor

Generally, except for those passionate about industrial or minimalist designs, homeowners tend to avoid monochromatic schemes, especially when it comes to gray. Perceived as the poor relation of white, gray is often marginalized, considered a dull shade, lacking personality, monotonous and generally depressing.

Nothing could be further from the truth. We present below a fully furnished apartment in shades of gray to demonstrate how it can enhance a space and open it up considerably. The home, designed by designers from Ando Studio This is an apartment in Tel Aviv, Israel.

One advantage of this space is indeed Interiors with high ceilings and large windows that allow for constant natural lighting of the apartment which seems to focus around an airy and open concept.

The living area forms an open space with the dining room and kitchen. While the relaxation zone is quite linear, subtly broken by a coffee table with an irregular shape (incidentally, the only splash of color in the room), the dining room has a stronger personality, given by the sculptures that decorate it and the paintings on the wall.

A beautiful focal point is the modern chandelier suspended above the table. Immediately after dinner, we meet at the five-seat bar where the view simply takes your breath away.

The master bedroom maintains the same aesthetic line, but natural wood features more prominently in the design. The transition from the bedroom to the bathroom is spectacular, achieved through transparent sliding doors and sheer curtains used for privacy.

A second bedroom, which could be used for children or guests, is smaller in size but allows for splashes of color and very cheerful accessories.

The third bedroom is also our favorite, thanks to the hand-crafted wall that appears lace-like from top to bottom. We also find the minimalist bookcase, consisting of a single leg, here, as in other parts of the house.

The elegance and refinement of this apartment are a strong argument against any hesitation one might have when it comes to decorating in shades of gray.
