Keukenhof Park was first landscaped in 1949 on the grounds of the former vegetable garden of Keukenhof Castle. The vegetable garden was created in the 15th century by Countess Jacoba van Beieren.

Keukenhof Park covers an area of 32 hectares and is landscaped with over 7 million flower bulbs, which bloom in spring. The park has a variety of themed gardens, such as the Japanese Garden, the English Garden, the Historical Garden, the Labyrinth Garden, and the Wildflower Garden.
