Architects from N AA D oversaw the renovation of this over 100-year-old home in Kyoto. It is minimalist, decorated entirely in wood, and this is what makes it special: the feeling of an unfinished interior.

Wood color is a trend that is increasingly making its presence felt in the field of modern interior design. Wall cladding with wood gives a very natural look to the interior and is suitable for decorating any room, whether we are talking about a living room, hallway, kitchen or bedroom.

It seems that the team at N AA D had this in mind when they started this project. They installed wooden panels on the walls, floor, and ceiling, resulting in an ideal space for a young person to live.

The paneling was left unfinished and much of the space is unfurnished, precisely to create the feeling of an interior under construction or incomplete.

Architects removed the existing walls around the interior staircase, freeing up the space to create an "airy" zone, thus giving the living room a sense of transparency.

Large windows flood the interiors with natural light. The furniture pieces adhere to a minimalist style, with chairs composed of fabric stretched over a metallic frame.
