The apartment we will be discussing today has 2 rooms, 57 square meters and is located in a new building in Bucharest.
Mission Cristina Micu, who created this project, aimed to create an airy, modern space that also included many storage spaces and met the client's needs.
At the time of taking over the project, it had the finishes installed: tiles, faience, parquet, doors, and the walls were completely white.
Modern style with Scandinavian influences
The entire apartment is furnished in a unified manner, maintaining the same color scheme and style in each room. Although neutral shades of white, grays, and black were used, the lighting fixtures, small decorative pieces, and furniture with metallic inserts or gold and copper finishes play an important role in the design.
Small splashes of color can be found in decorative cushions, natural plants, and other accessories.
From the entrance, the goal was to create a bright and spacious area. White predominates in the hallway, both at the level of the walls and furniture, while strategically placed mirrors give the impression of a larger space, reflecting light at the same time.
It can be observed how, in the secondary hallway, the one between the bedroom and bathroom, a generous storage space was organized: an L-shaped wardrobe where the washing machine and cleaning products are integrated. All the wardrobe doors have mirrors, visually doubling the space practically.
Living Room
The generous surface area of the living room allowed for its division into two zones: a relaxation zone furnished with a velvet sofa, television, and a cozy reading nook, and a work zone for "work from home" days, comprising a spacious bookcase and a desk.
In terms of colors and textures, these were harmoniously combined. Although the exposed brick in the living room is a rough material, its white hue provides brightness to the living room, and together with the black and gray furniture, it creates the perfect contrast to highlight both.
Moreover, the velvet of the sofa and the blush pink armchair, also made of velvet, and the velvety curtains bring a touch of elegance and comfort to the living room through the fineness of the materials, balancing the brutality of the brick at the same time.
The vertical lamellar rifling in the reading area was made from Egger pal melaminat with a wood texture, which warms up the atmosphere and chromaticism.
Kitchen
The kitchen was designed compactly, with predominantly black furniture made of matte painted MDF. The appliances were also chosen in black, making everything appear unified and elegant. As the kitchen has a rectangular, wagon-type shape, to break the feeling of elongation, black painted glass was used between the furniture units, reflecting light and creating a sense of spaciousness.
