The 72 square meter apartment has three bedrooms and two bathrooms with a generous ceiling height of 2.80 meters. The story of the interior design begins with the handover of the apartment from the developer, with all finishes completed, including the kitchen with appliances installed.
The role of the interior design team hired by the client was to give personality to the space. They thus transformed a dull, monotonous space into a comfortable and warm home. For the most part, they intervened through furniture pieces and accessories, textile decorations.
According to the designers involved in the furnishing process, “the concept was developed taking into account the basics of eco and minimalist styles, but at the same time, every detail is loaded with subtle images and the understanding that this apartment is for a young family who loves their home.”
The clients, a young family (a lady with a young child) travel a lot, living in London and Moscow. For their Moscow residence, they wanted a fully furnished apartment that would give a feeling of warmth and "home".
She turned to Balcon Studio at the time she purchased the finished apartment, with appliances, kitchen and bathrooms fully equipped.
The apartment has a clear delimitation of the day and night areas. The living area is located on the left side of the entrance hall while the night area and bathrooms are on the right.
The space consists of a living room and open kitchen, a generous entrance hall, a bathroom with shower located near the entrance, a small laundry room, the child's bedroom and a master bedroom with dressing room and private bathroom.
The master bedroom is highlighted by the wall behind the bed, on which some discreet decorative profiles have been applied, painted in the same shade of gray. “We decided on a light color palette, with dusty color tones plus navy blue and chocolate tones.”
The dressing room in the master bedroom has an L shape; it is delimited by a glass partition, which visually enlarges the space while protecting the clothes at the same time.
The child's bedroom is only 11 square meters, but it has been very efficiently organized so that there is enough storage space, a play area and a resting area. One of the mother's wishes was to create a bench area, soft and comfortable, by the window; the result was a single piece of furniture with closed storage space and open display spaces.
