A modern design with minimalist lines and wooden accents in a monochromatic ensemble for a beneficiary who has since become the designer's life partner: a story of design and love.

Lucia Gutiu Sucala tells us that it was a real challenge to rethink the project, to make a successful transition from a single beneficiary (who had only emphasized that he needed an office space and the presence of the color green) to a home for a future young family, with enough storage space and a larger office for both beneficiaries.

“Another challenge was to design the ensemble separating the living room from the kitchen, which had to remain in place due to the many cables for sockets, TV, internet, and thermostat running from both the ceiling and the floor. Moving them would have caused too much damage, especially to the floor, where there is underfloor heating. Therefore, that ensemble separates the two areas - the kitchen and the living area - and I integrated the TV there.”

The color palette proposed by Lucia is a neutral one, betting on a white-anthracite gray contrast, which highlights the nuance of the parquet flooring very well. The yellow corner sofa in a textile material stands out against a dark gray background, brick cladding.

The arrangement, which took about a year (going through problems with stocks, large order delays, certain pieces being replaced, etc.), cost approximately 37,000 euros. They chose to invest in an average quality, “we didn't opt for cheap things but neither the most expensive ones, as it is a transitional apartment, which will become too small for us at some point.”
