The story of furnishing a four-room apartment in Gramont Residence, a modern design bearing the signature of Cristian Patrascu Studio, began with the choice of a neutral color palette to which color accents were added in shades of yellow.
The 127 square meter dwelling consists of an entrance hall, an open living area (kitchen, dining area, living room), a long hallway connecting the bedrooms, two bathrooms, the master bedroom, the guest bedroom and the child's bedroom.
The layout was kept as it was taken over from the developer since it corresponded very well to the needs of the owners.
Small zoning was created with the help of furniture pieces: in the living area, for example, due to the positioning of the furniture set and television, the sofa was placed in the center of the room and a bookcase in the same color tone was installed behind it; a discreet and extremely functional delimitation.
“Although the entrance hall area is relatively small, there we find a dressing room with mirror doors that hides the washing machine, as well as a space where a stool can slide.”
The neutral color palette proposed by the architects is based on shades of gray, beige, and greige, shades which have been used in different combinations of textures and materials. Although they may seem cold, their use on soft materials successfully manages to warm up the atmosphere of the home.
The mustard yellow shade of the living room curtains, the two intense yellow dining chairs, the green moss panels on the hallway and kitchen wall, and the brick shade at the bottom of the hallway wall all add a splash of color to the design and give the space personality.
In the furnishing of the master bedroom, several shades of gray were used in contrast with white and cream. The storage space was exploited to the maximum: a line of furniture where the bed was integrated and on the opposite wall we find a generous dressing room in light shades and a wooden bookcase.
The guest bedroom was furnished in the same style but received more color accents: a wall area finished with orange washable paint and purple curtains. Furnished in shades of green and yellow, the child's bedroom is the most vividly colored area of the dwelling.
