If you don't have any plans for Saturday evening, we propose exploring our suggestion to visit a circuit of culturally themed houses in Bucharest. The event is called “Noaptea Caselor” and takes place on September 27th, starting at 6:00 PM until the next day at 7:00 AM. The route is as follows:

Galeria IX → Artskul → The Can → Artidava → Scrie despre tine → Casa Lupu → Gradina Viitorului → Casa Jurnalistului → Home Matasari → Colivia → Carol 53 → Casa Elisabeta → Interfon 77 → Casa de pe Chei

Noaptea Caselor appeared from the desire of young and active communities to exchange ideas, make projects and above all have fun. It is a new cultural current “more personal, freer, more efficient, cooler”. Here is a description of some of the cultural projects gathered in these historical spaces.

Galeria IX (on Aviatorilor Street, no. 9) An unconventional space, in a 1929 architectural monument, for socio-cultural events, centered on musical, artistic and educational events. It is also an art gallery and visual installations, mini cinema, tea room, cocktail bar, meeting point and workshop venue.

Casa Jurnalistului represents a community of independent reporters gathered in a house to shape the future of journalism.

Home Matasari describes itself as follows: “We put together older ideas that have already seen the urban light, but also new projects that yearn for the first glance, which will take shape. We built together a space where plans and ideas settle on their own on the never-explored enough ground of culture and humanity.”

Carol 53, the building on B-dul Carol I no. 53, a class B historical monument, was designed in 1912 by architect Radu Culcer. The project involves an open environment that stimulates, encourages and promotes initiatives of individuals or groups, being an impartial political and non-discriminatory space.
