Over 3,500 visitors and 300 designers are expected at Deco Days 2023, the most complex event in Romania dedicated to interior design

Cluj-Napoca, August 24, 2023: Deco Days, an event dedicated to interior design, organized by Mendola Fabrics, the largest curtain and drapery brand in Romania, will take place this year between September 7th and 10th, at the Foyer of the Polyvalent Hall in Cluj-Napoca.

With a total investment of over €100,000, the organizers are aiming for the 8th edition to attract an audience exceeding 3,500 people, a 20% increase from last year, 300 designers and 40 exhibiting businesses in the field.

Conceived as an interior design accelerator, the event connects designers and architects with businesses, focusing on a complex, multi-sensory experience for participants.

Last year, Deco Days attracted 3,000 visitors, including both individuals passionate about interior design and businesses in the field or related industries, who were exposed to 29 hours of intensive events, in a 2,500 sqm space with 35 booths and exhibition areas, 2 stages dedicated to conferences and workshops in the field, 11 special guests and the creations of 8 object designers gathered in a dedicated area.

Mendola Fabrics, the Cluj-based textile business for draperies and curtains, initiated Deco Days seven years ago as an event exclusively dedicated to its business partners. Starting in 2021, Deco Days transformed into an "interior design accelerator," a unique event in Romania that brings together businesses in the interior design sphere, designers and design enthusiasts.

This year, Deco Days will host a new journey of design concepts, brand activities, complex experiential spaces, workshops and panel discussions with renowned guests.

Deco Days is a dynamic organism that grows organically year after year.

So for this autumn edition, dedicated equally to the general public and businesses, we have prepared an exhibition space exceeding 2,500 square meters, where 40 brands from fields such as lighting fixtures, furniture, flooring or decorations will interact with the community and the design interior audience.

Another anticipated moment is our interior design concept competition, which has attracted 300 designers. It's the traditional invitation for interior designers and architects to create a design concept that will be implemented within Deco Days 2023," declares Ioan Pintea, Deputy Director of Mendola Fabrics.

According to him, another component of this year's Deco Days edition is the space dedicated to creators of objects for interior design, which will bring together the creations of Romanian object designers such as Arcasha Design, Artea or Cicaro Design Studio.
