A renovation often requires a considerable budget that doesn't always match the initial estimate. The interior design I propose today shows us how to achieve a coherent and functional decor by using existing furniture or accessories in our home. This way, costs can be reduced by reusing or integrating certain pieces differently.

The first step in this renovation was painting the walls, which resulted in an increased feeling of cleanliness. A very light cream color was used to brighten and amplify the existing space. The finished area is 58 square meters, divided into a 3-bedroom apartment configuration.

Concurrently, modifications were made to the electrical installation to incorporate new lighting fixtures.

The wooden parquet flooring was retained as it was in good condition (requiring only minor refurbishment to restore its shine) and also succeeds in providing warmth to the space and balancing the predominantly white background.

The kitchen is small and is located in an open plan with the living room. Here, no substantial changes have been made, the furniture being kept as it was. The window frame has been painted, and the white of the freshly painted walls puts the entire layout in a better light, both literally and figuratively.

This also improves circulation around the cooking area. The table has been moved towards the living room, creating a discreet transition between the kitchen and the rest of the room. Replacing the chairs with white ones is an inspired choice within this redesign context.

The living area maintains a minimalist aesthetic, built upon existing pieces with only their placement altered. The white sofa and coffee table harmoniously complement the rest of the decor. The primary storage area is located in the hallway, in the form of a tall cabinet with sliding doors and mirrors.

The bedroom followed the same space reorganization strategy using existing furniture. The change is notable due to the freed space around the bed, with wardrobes being moved and reconfigured. Additionally, the doors were painted white, replacing the slightly oppressive blue.

An armchair and two nightstands, along with small decorative accessories, manage to transform the décor in a pleasant and airy way.
