We are in the perfect season for Garden landscaping This model we propose to you today is an excellent approach from which you can draw inspiration.
When landscape architects from Solscapes were tasked with handling this small courtyard, their initial thought was to quickly landscape the space without hassle. However, the project proved to be more complex.
Not having the time or necessary knowledge, the client was never able to furnish this space as she desired over the years. The unkempt appearance weighed on her every time she returned home, so she decided to seek help from specialists who could guide and advise her throughout the process.
The courtyard is the first point of contact anyone interacts with before actually entering her home. Therefore, she wanted this space to be welcoming and create a good impression on all visitors. Additionally, another requirement was to have an environment where she could relax at the end of the day, a green corner designed to her liking.
Additionally, the landscape architects had to consider that their client works a lot and needs green spaces that do not require meticulous care.
The existing elements were in a state of degradation, and the stones brought to stabilize the sandy soil were not very helpful. The paving stones also looked rather poor – a complete renovation was absolutely necessary to refresh this entire outdoor area.
The proposed solutions were as simple as they were effective. Functionality now blends harmoniously with aesthetics. Travertine slabs in various shapes and sizes (available at Piatra Online) are combined with grassy areas, and plants were selected to complement the outdoor design.
The fences have also undergone a renovation process, and their current color opens up the space and makes it appear brighter, despite their height and thickness. For those interested, the color is called China White by Dulux (you can find this brand at the Culori si idei store).
Among the plants used are bamboo, Zamia Furfuracea, various Types of succulents(which do not require intensive watering), Anigozanthos or popularly called kangaroo paw (grows especially in Australia), moss to support a humid environment. The sizes and textures of the plants create oases of greenery Chromatic and volumetric balance.
Despite its small size, the redesign of this courtyard surprised us. "It's not about the surface area, but what you do with the existing space," conclude the landscape architects who managed to fulfill their client's beautiful dream through this project.
