In general, a balcony is not a storage space, but rather one where a lot of things are forgotten that are either no longer used or have not found their place in the house.

To organize a balcony, it is necessary to know its purpose: what is this space intended for? Is it for drying clothes, storing jars, bicycles, flowers, or relaxation? If the apartment has multiple balconies, the problem is solved. It is more difficult when the dwelling has only one, and that one is small.single balcony, and that one is small.

Ideally, the balcony should be used as a space for both storage and relaxation. For drying clothes, another solution can be found, such as a condensing tumble dryer.

To make the balcony a storage space as well as a relaxing area, we use the walls to support various objects that can be displayed openly, and cupboards to hide jars and tools, leaving space for a folding table.

In this sense, for bicycles or other means of transportation, a special holder hung on a large wall surface can be used. The space becomes airier, and the visual impact is pleasant.

A relatively large space should be allocated to shelves for jars. There are several variants that can be used for their storage. The most efficient, but less creative, is to use a cupboard. Although banal, it will protect food from heat, sun, and low temperatures. The front of the cupboard can be used for decorative elements. This way, the image does not become monotonous.

Newspaper or magazine holders can also be applied to the front of the cupboard.

Another option is to use a chest for storing jars/cans or other objects that need to be kept away from sun, light, or cold. The chest becomes a seat support upholstered with cushions. All that remains is to bring a small table to create a space where you can have coffee, but which is also equipped with storage.

The following items to be stored on the balcony are tools; they do not need a cupboard, but shelves for support and protection. To be properly organized, use a metal shelf that can support the weight, and tools can be stored in plastic boxes.

Other ways to make the balcony a pleasant place are: a folding table with hinges attached to the wall or folding tables and chairs that can be folded away when needed. You can also place a hammock, which after use can be hung on a hook on the ceiling or a wall.

Flowers find their place in a simple planter, only at one of the windows, the central one. If this is not enough, another flower pot can be placed on one of the walls, but also hanging and not too large. This way, the space will not be overloaded and will have a splash of color.
