If you wake up in the morning with dry lips, a feeling of thirst, and a stuffy nose, it means that the humidity level in the room where you sleep is too low. In this case, you need a humidifier.

Humidity represents the totality of water vapor in the air. During the cold season, when the heating system dries the air, a humidifier is a necessary accessory, especially if you have a young child at home.

A solution would be to air out the room as often as possible, even three times a day, so that the humidity value approaches normal levels. The normal value in a room is between 40 and 60%. And for measuring humidity, you can purchase a special device called a thermohygrometer.

Another solution would be to put a container of water on the radiator, but this would only partially solve the problem, as this method is only effective if the humidity drops slightly below 40%. In this case, humidifiers like those here are recommended. These come in several types: cold air, warm air, ultrasonic, cold steam, or warm steam.

Those with warm steam are recommended for children's rooms.

Cold steam humidifiers are especially recommended in summer and can cover larger spaces. The ultrasonic humidifier uses high-frequency sounds to break down water particles, producing vapors that help with breathing, and is also one of the quietest models.

It is also very important what water we use to feed the humidifier. It would be preferable to use distilled water instead of tap water due to its high mineral content which could affect the appliance's function over time.
