The owners of an apartment in Bucharest wanted to furnish their home in a modern and nonconformist style, but at the same time, preserve that warm and welcoming feeling of home. The design was conceived as a theme that is found in all the rooms of the dwelling.

The main elements are asymmetrical geometric shapes and a color scheme that reinterpretes, in a modern way, elements of nature: beige-orange-turquoise.

With an area of 120 square meters, the apartment consists of a living room, a bedroom with space for a dressing room, and a kitchen.

The living room visually connects with the semi-open kitchen. In the center of the room stands a modern L-shaped sofa that is also comfortable. This is undoubtedly the focal point of the room. Attention is also drawn to the decorative cushions which play the role of accent color.

Thus, the relaxation area is visually marked by the orange color, which we find again in the armchair next to the sofa.

A simple white coffee table was chosen, complementing the shelf on the wall. The living room is visually delimited from the dining area by a false ceiling, which is separated into the two rooms. Moreover, the two areas are lit separately, and the dining area is visually marked by the turquoise accent color.

The nonconformist element is the mirror made up of several round pieces joined together. In the same vein, they chose textile roller blinds instead of classic curtains.

In the bedroom, the geometric elements continue, this time in the form of irregular turquoise stripes on the wall and furniture. The dynamism of the room is also given by the choice of multiple light sources: a chandelier from the ceiling that provides general lighting, and bedside lamps that hang from the ceiling almost to the level of the bed.

In the kitchen, neutral shades are combined with accent colors. The furniture is glossy, with rounded shapes, in a play of beige tones. Thus, the idea of a modern design was continued. Multiple light sources were also chosen here, which adds a sense of spaciousness to the room.
