Houses with strange shapes, located in stunning places, such as a mountain peak or a cliff on the continental coast, have a unique charm and represent a dream home model for most people.
The unconventional position and the totally out-of-the-box shape of this surreal house, Mahina, are highly appreciated and manage to attract from all points of view.
The house was designed with inspiration from the Moon and its various forms, and Mahina represents the Maori word for moon. With these in mind, the designers launched this surreal concept to create a dream residence by the ocean.
Construction of this unique house will begin in New Zealand soon, approximately 60 km north of Auckland city on Kawau Island. Mahina is intended to be a luxury residence of 77 square meters which will include a pool, a greenhouse, a pontoon and temperature sensors for regulation at any time of day.
The windows will be large and wide, from floor to ceiling, to offer a wide view of the Pacific Ocean seen from the island coast.
