A bright white palette, solid wood and light-colored wood veneers, color accents in pastel green and turquoise tones, few but carefully chosen furniture pieces – this is how the story of a three-room apartment in Bucharest was shaped, designed this year by Cristian Patrascu Studio.

The 81 square meter dwelling was furnished with a budget of 30,000 euros for finishes, furniture and appliances. The beneficiaries, a young couple, desired a simple, unpretentious but elegant design at the same time.

The space is efficiently compartmentalized, the open-space living area being the most generous (it includes the open kitchen, dining area, living room and a small reading nook with a built-in bookcase and a comfortable armchair).

The architecture team proposed a modern concept with many elements of the Scandinavian style, resulting in a unitary, cheerful, youthful and refined design. Particular attention was paid to space optimization and furniture ergonomics.

Both bathrooms were designed along the same stylistic lines, focusing on simplicity and functionality. The master bathroom features a corner bathtub; to accentuate the relaxation area, a wallpaper was proposed on the opposite wall.

The second room of the apartment was transformed into an office for the young owners, for days when they choose to work from home or to retreat here in the evening to read. Here we find a bookcase and a corner desk, custom-made from wood with khaki painted fronts. The desk extends with a radiator cover made of wooden slats.

Chromatically, white and cream predominate, with accents in green shades, especially khaki and pastel green (we find them in every room, successfully contributing to the creation of a unique decor). In the living area, a vertical radiator was proposed in an intense turquoise shade, which contrasts harmoniously with the rest of the design.
