Potatoes are likely the most popular and widespread vegetable in our country, with the Carpathian Bend being the most favorable area for potato crops, especially the counties of Covasna and Harghita.
These vegetables need a cooler climate to develop to their maximum capacity, and if you want to plant potatoes in the southern regions of Romania, you should choose a period before the normal planting season.
Potatoes are a very easy vegetable to grow, and the quantitative ratio is very favorable, considering the space they need and the volume of the vegetables involved. They can be planted starting from smaller potatoes, which are about the size of an egg, or they can be planted from pieces of a larger potato.
For the second method, you need to take a larger potato and make sure it has those "eyes" from which a new plant will be able to grow. Cut the potato into several pieces and leave them to dry for a while until they start to turn black slightly.
