Vertical gardens are the newest concept in interior decoration involving the presence of plants in indoor spaces or on building facades. They are most commonly used to decorate office spaces, but can be easily mounted in private homes, restaurants, or any other location to refresh the atmosphere and delight those around them.

Beyond all this, the view brings a note of optimism and offers an unparalleled setting.

Vertical gardens are created using modular panels where various ornamental plants are planted. Each vertical garden uses a special mix of plant species, adapted to the room in which it is installed.

In most cases, these are mounted next to a cement wall on which a 10 mm thick PVC panel is attached using aluminum profiles. A textile material (pasla) is applied over the PVC panel, several horizontal sections are made with a cutter, and pockets are formed with a stapler in which flower pots will be fixed.

Pasla allows plants to easily extend their roots through its texture and also ensures complete irrigation. This pasla very effectively mimics the natural soil of plants.

At the base of the panel is a water reservoir from which a hose starts (from bottom to top) and feeds the irrigation system. This hose has branches every ten centimeters to irrigate the entire panel as well as possible. The water saturates the pasla, which in turn moistens the roots of the plants. There are other models of panels, but they all operate on the same principle.

If you wish to order such a garden, you should know that the price is calculated per project and includes installation, the wall system, plants, and the irrigation system. These plants need to be changed every 3-4 months. The price of a surface covered with a vertical garden varies depending on how large you want it to be.

For example, between 1-6 square meters costs approximately 1600 lei + VAT.

At the European level, vertical gardens are a trend, and over time, with the help of Romanian landscape architects and other people who have an "eco" culture, the phenomenon will surely catch on here as well.
