For the design of their living room, this family turned to the team of architects at Studio 2.1.
The beneficiaries had already partially furnished the space, but the arrangement wasn't heading towards the result they desired. For them, this area of the house is an important one, so they chose to give it extra attention, calling on the help of professionals.
The concept was shaped by transforming the space into a warm and welcoming one, a place where the family could spend time together.
Functionally, several different zones were designed, visually delimited by decorative elements, such as the wooden wainscoting that separates the dining area from the living room. The main piece is the fireplace around which all the other details of the living room gravitate, such as the conversation area or the reading space created near the window.
Stylistically and chromatically, the arrangement reminds us of Scandinavian interiors, with a palette of neutral shades and small pastel accents. In the same spirit, materials such as slate and wood were chosen, adding soft and fluffy textures, as well as plants to recreate the idea of nature indoors as faithfully as possible.
The photo wallpaper depicting a mountain landscape contributes to outlining a completely accent zone, complementing the theme already described, while the metallic accents of the lighting fixtures add a touch of personality to the decor.
The windows were highlighted with decorative profiles, while at the same time giving up curtains or drapes. The space thus receives more natural light and a wonderful panorama of the garden outside. In this context, masking the unsightly appearance of the radiators became a necessity.
In the reduced-size hallway, a functional arrangement was desired, with the necessary storage (see wardrobe and shoe cabinet). The coat rack area, with different hangers, gives the space a more playful note, while the balloon-shaped chandelier completes the cheerful spirit meant to cheer you up every time you return home.
