If you have a cat, you already know how special the relationship between you is. Every glance, every purr and every small gesture has a unique meaning. But have you ever thought about how important it is to talk to her? It may seem strange at first, especially if you haven't had cats before, but vocal communication plays an essential role in your relationship with her.
Your cat recognizes your voice
I experienced this myself with my own cat. At first, I had the impression that she didn't care what I was saying. I would call her, tell her about my day, but she seemed more interested in the window than me. Over time, I noticed that when I spoke to her more often, she reacted faster to my voice. She would turn her head, move her ears and even come closer to me.
Studies show that cats recognize their names and can distinguish between their owner's voice and that of other people. They are not as enthusiastic as a dog, but that doesn't mean they don't listen to you.
The tone of your voice matters more than the words

Cats are masters at interpreting the tone of voice. If you speak calmly, with a gentle and soothing tone, you convey safety. When I tell my cat, in a low and warm voice, "you're a good girl," she starts purring immediately. On the other hand, if I raise my voice, even if I'm not angry, she becomes cautious and sometimes leaves the room.
Daily conversations strengthen your bond
