In a 65 square meter Bucharest attic, a 26-year-old woman found her perfect refuge, a space that reflects her vibrant personality and dynamic lifestyle.

The design, signed by interior architect Iulia Oniciuc, transformed an initially classically compartmentalized apartment into an airy and bright open space, where every corner is optimized for functionality and comfort.

The main challenge of the project was to reconfigure the space to fit the beneficiary's needs, who desired an open living area, ideal for socializing, and a separate bedroom, offering intimacy. The solution came through removing the wall that initially separated the kitchen from the living room, thus creating a spacious and fluid space.

The central element of the design became a glass wall with metal joinery, an inspired choice that delineates the bedroom from the living area without sacrificing natural light. This glass box not only visually separates the two functions but also adds an industrial-chic note to the entire apartment.

To ensure privacy, opaque curtains were added, which can be drawn as needed.

Color and textures play an essential role in creating a welcoming atmosphere. The designer opted for a neutral palette, dominated by white and gray, warmed by accents of natural wood and the presence of green plants. The massive wooden beams of the ceiling were preserved and painted white, integrating perfectly into the design and adding a touch of attic charm.
