The world of interior design is a fascinating one, and we decided in this article to guide you through the universe of some extraordinary protagonists who offer a new perspective on how to harmonize family life with the furnishing of your own home according to their personality and dreams.
What follows is a beautiful story told through the prism of the ideas explored and the frankness with which the couple shares what it meant for them to furnish their home.
Andrea Brugnoni and Isabella Spadacini, along with their two children, Bartolomeo aged 2 and Libera aged 7 months, live in a beautiful, well-regarded area of Milan, Italy. The couple explores various aspects of art in its different forms; Andrea is the manager of Portu Promenade in Sardinia, while Isabella is the founder of Mug Film, a film production company.
Through their jobs, their lives are extremely active, divided between family and career.
Both dabble in interior design to some extent. For example, we learn that Isabella grew up in the world of art and design, her mother owning an art gallery. Although her concerns for a long time had nothing to do with design, she confirms that the world of art shaped her personality, being an integral part of what she represents today as an individual.
Their dream home came at a time when they didn't necessarily want to buy a house; it was as if the house had found them. From that moment on, they fell completely in love with the building and its surroundings and decided to take the big step. The peace of the area and the natural light of the space are what they love most about their new home.
Initially, the structure of the building was different, being divided into 6 smaller apartments. Their desire was to keep the central staircase while the rest of the space was redistributed so that the house would appear as a compact structure, open with spacious and very bright spaces. The kitchen area is a generous one, directly connected to the living room.
We could easily say that this is the heart of their home. Thus, all members and even guests are involved in the cooking process, always staying connected to each other, being able to socialize without the barriers imposed by spatial division. After reconfiguration, the house was divided into two levels.
The first contains the bedrooms and bathrooms, while the last floor is under renovation, with the couple wanting to decorate everything peacefully. In fact, they often incorporate various souvenirs from their travels into the decor.
The furnishings are full of eye-catching elements at every turn. Attention to detail is an art form in this couple's home. Everywhere we find elements from different eras and cultures, all majestically united in an original eclecticism, where the industrial style predominates through the details and colors used.
