This house with a futuristic design from Ukraine was designed by local architect Sergey Makno. It is 235 square meters and belongs to a family from the Kyiv area.
It seems that Sergey Makno is not a big fan of constructions with classic forms, so every time he has the opportunity, he creates non-conformist, authentic shapes that stand out.
For these homes, the facade is constructed from a combination of black concrete and masonry. Two of these walls are an exception, being covered with oak wood discs. The color of the wood contrasts strongly with the black masonry, giving the entire structure a sober and elegant air.
Inside, we find a wooden staircase connecting the ground floor to the first floor. Next to this staircase is a library that rises along with it towards the top, exceeding the ceiling line.

The living area features a stove that imbues the interior with an idyllic and warm ambiance. The dining room and kitchen are connected to the living room, and the entire open-space zone is impressive in size.
The two windows positioned above the stairs "fill" the room with natural light, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, and an office. This floor also impresses with the combination of materials, textures, and colors. For example, the bathroom has a glass wall, precisely the one near the bathtub, which seems a bit unusual.
Contrast has become one of my main design themes – thick forms with thin forms, heavy construction elements with light ones, black brick with white cement, smooth surfaces contrasting with textured surfaces, architect Sergey Makno explains regarding his vision for design.
Among Sergey Makno's latest creations is a bar in Kiev, whose walls have been entirely covered in willow branches.
