The Scandinavian style has begun to be used widely, becoming a major influence in many home furnishings. I have to admit that this style is among my favorites and every time I find such an arrangement, I want to share it with you. Here's what I came across today.

High ceilings, plenty of white, wood, black accents and a very efficiently used space are the details that shape this Scandinavian house. Each room has been designed as minimally as possible, with multifunctional spaces prevailing throughout the home.

The height of the house was an asset extensively explored, with various storage spaces added up to the ceiling in the kitchen, living room, and even bedrooms.

The intense white opens up the living space considerably, making it bright and more spacious. Inserts of black add a touch of drama to the decor, while wooden elements, including the light-colored wood floor, soften the monochromaticity of the colors. The living room library is the focal point and splash of color in the room, alongside the black table paired with Eames-style chairs.

The room layout is linear, so the design was adapted to fit the existing structure. Wardrobes for clothing storage were downsized to be as efficient as possible. Spacious drawers were created under the beds.

As we were discussing storage, an interesting detail to note is the designer's choice of footwear placement: in the hallway, on a long shelf spanning the entire wall, situated above the doors leading into the rooms.

The kitchen furniture is entirely black, painted with chalkboard paint on which family members can write messages or draw; it's a playful feature worth exploring by each of us in our own decor. The white kitchen table and wooden stool-type chairs are a pleasant addition to the open space of the dining area.

We also encounter oversized lighting fixtures here with the cable intentionally left hanging, indicating a relaxed yet organized style. Windows are left unobstructed, with existing blinds being discreet and translucent to allow as much natural light to penetrate the room as possible.
