Today's story takes us to the English countryside, specifically Cambridge, where we learn about an Italian couple who made a major change by moving there from Rome. They fell in love with the city during a vacation and when the opportunity arose, they accepted the challenge of starting a new life in the United Kingdom.
They purchased a newly built house which they decorated to their own taste, with influences of English rustic, shabby chic, and vintage styles. They managed to create a truly bright, comfortable, and pleasant home.
The decorating and furnishing process was lengthy, but it was well worth it. Initially, the focus was on the kitchen, and then gradually, the other areas were shaped with carefully chosen pieces and accessories.
The kitchen design reminds us of cottage interiors, with wooden furniture and small curtains for the window. The choices were very inspired, everything is coherent and pleasantly coordinated.
The dish rack, wooden worktop, sink, Metro-style ceramic tiles in mint green, specific accessories, and decorations compose an authentic English rustic decor, but with a modern touch. The dining room is a separate space, with specific furniture, excellently decorated.
For the living room, the design started from the fireplace, inspired by typical Victorian houses. The furniture was also chosen in the same spirit, followed by very comfortable sofas and armchairs. Chromatically, they opted for very light, pastel colors to keep the interiors as bright and welcoming as possible.
The master bedroom follows the same vintage, rustic design line. Wood paneling on the wall, bedside tables, floral prints, and rich textures create a special, intimate, and pampering decor. A similarly stylish arrangement can be found in the en-suite bathroom.
