Cone House or Casa Con is the work of architects from Trigueiros Architecture in Sweden who imagined a project with a rather abstract design: a cone shape clad with shingles and a sloping roof that, from a distance, gives the impression of a stranded ship. Whether intentional or not, the location of the house also contributes to this feeling – it's perched on a green hill with a view of an absolutely stunning private beach.

The name "cone" is suggested by the appearance of the wooden shingles, a texture similar to that of a pine cone.

Open Gallery In contrast to the textured exterior surface, the interior offered by Casa Con is completely different. White predominates, with wood only being part of the floor structure, stairs and ceiling. The windows play an important role in the overall design of the house.

To create more spaciousness and maximize the amount of natural light, the height of the living room has been doubled and a large window allows a large amount of natural light to penetrate throughout the entire house. The other part of the dwelling is divided into three levels connected by stairs.

The positioning of the living room window provides light to darker spaces, such as the kitchen; the placement of the windows offering an overall perspective towards the wonderful view that surrounds the house.

The more sloping side of the house corresponds to the living room which extends outwards through a bridge that descends towards the shore, this being the most attractive point of the house.

In terms of decor, Casa Con reflects a pure Scandinavian style with plenty of white and natural elements such as wood and stone. The minimalist decor fits in with current trends for abstract shapes and simple, straight, clean lines.
