Owners desired a comfortable and warm home, one that wouldn't lack exposed wooden beams, ornamental baguettes at the windows, and Roman blinds.

Open GalleryThe 188 square meters of usable space are distributed as follows: hall, living area, dining room and open-space kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a dressing room; all on a single level (one of the owners' dreams related to their ideal home).

“Located at the foot of a forest, the house was designed according to their taste and preferences: a single-level house, where everything is as airy as possible so that the girls can run freely, and with generous glazed areas, through which as much natural light as possible penetrates.”

Alexandra Chis, fromAcdesign, tells us that she was happy to be contacted by the owners “when the foundation wasn't even built, so we were able to play a little with the glazed areas. The owners, a young family with three wonderful daughters and a fourth on the way, develop real estate projects in quiet and exclusive areas of Cluj.”

In terms of interior design concept, the emphasis was placed on warm materials: wood, wool, leather, velvet details. To reconcile the preferences of both owners regarding style, the designers successfully proposed a mix of Scandinavian style, industrial details, and traditional Romanian rustic elements.

“Here everything is embraced by wooden beams, made by a local craftsman, and windows with ornamental shutters, outlined by white moldings, and Roman blinds, custom-made by Oso Décor.”

Alexandra also intervened in the concept of the facade finish; she opted for exposed brick and wooden battens that contrast harmoniously with the white, elegant windows.

At the entrance to the house, we find a playful transition between hexagonal tiles and parquet flooring. To effectively delimit the living area from the hall, a gypsum wall was created, decorated with logs (which warm the house both literally and figuratively).

Through the chosen finishes, the living room is warm throughout the year: exposed brick, a leather sofa with a vintage look, many textile accessories.
