Originally, this stunning 60 square meter wooden cabin located in a small village in Switzerland was simply a barn. The renovation project belongs to the architects at Ralph Germann.

Opening the GalleryIn this case, the insulation was done on the interior. More precisely, a wooden box was introduced inside the old building, so that the cabin remained in its original shape from the outside. Only the windows benefited from minor adjustments so that the owners could enjoy spectacular views of the surroundings.

The windows have been adapted so that the glass is made of a special material to insulate heat as effectively as possible from the interior.

The interior design creates a very refined and cohesive atmosphere within the cabin. A white ceiling emphasizes the brightness of the space, while the pleasant hue of the wood used for the walls visually amplifies it.

For the furniture, a version of larch wood veneer was used, its hue providing a more sophisticated look than the wood used for the walls and floors.

The space within the cabin is excellently configured. Handleless cabinets are located in the kitchen and bedroom areas ensuring the functionality of the cabin. At the entrance to the cabin, there is a suspended bench that allows not only comfortable seating but also intelligently conceals footwear.

The bathroom features a unique approach; one wall is made of colored glass in a vibrant hue that sets this space apart from the others.
