Today's story is about a building with an amazing view of the city of Brasov and especially the old town center. This positioning being one of the strong points of the house and a decisive factor for the owners to purchase it and transform it into their dream home.

Architecture Team Beelive met Andreea and Laurentiu Vlad, a young family with two small children, "during the hotel-style housing project on Michael Weiss Street in Brasov completed last year and presented in the Lifestyle Design Interior 2020 (The Loft) album.

The success of the final arrangement then led to a second collaboration, this time much more personal, the interior design of the newly acquired house of the family," Anca Fetcu Lupu and Ioana Daniel, the architects of the project, told us with great enthusiasm.

The building was taken over in a fairly advanced state of degradation, having not undergone any renovations or repairs for a long time. Thus, the first step in the architecture team's mission was to propose the necessary interventions for the protection of the construction and then adapt it to the needs of the new owners.

Extensive consolidation works were carried out, facade modifications, raising the attic, complete roof refurbishment, but respecting the architectural concept of the house. The execution of these works and the interior design took 12 months.

The 280 square meters of usable space in the house are distributed between the living area (basement and ground floor) and the sleeping area with the three bedrooms located on the attic floor.

In the basement, we find a generous, modern kitchen with an island bar, perfect for breakfast. There is also access to the terrace of the house and a hobby room, which is also used as an office.

The open space, dining and living area, located on the ground floor, surprises with the elegance of simplicity; the use of solid wood warms up the atmosphere while the details of the connections between the different pieces preserve the modern character of the design.
