The project initially targeted only the ground floor of the house, which includes the living areas: the entrance hall, the living room, the kitchen and the dining area, all spread over 50 square meters. The design bears the signature of Andreea Stefan, in collaboration with Luiza Tocea.

The clients, a young couple (who recently moved from an apartment to a house), wanted a bright, warm interior with pops of color and a carefully studied zoning to clearly define the areas.

Among their requirements, emphasis was placed on abundant natural light, so the furniture was also designed not to obstruct too much of the light and visual perspective. By arranging the furniture pieces, they obtained four distinct zones in the initial open-space, taking into account both perspectives and an ergonomic flow of circulation.

The dwelling was taken over from the developer with grey finishes; the designers opted to warm everything up with wood tones and accents of saturated primary colors.

Thus, we find armchairs upholstered in a bold blue hue and the yellow sofa in the living room. This image is completed by a decor with geometric patterns (curtains, rug, wallpaper).

The spacious kitchen is a simple and clean area, designed in straight lines, with an emphasis on functionality and maintaining the overall stylistic image of the house. “Being open space with the living area, we opted for a combination of white and wood, with black accents that do not compete with the color accents in the rest of the house. All furniture was custom made.”

The hallway is delimited from the kitchen by a piece of furniture with alternating shelves: open and closed areas to mask certain storage. This furniture ensemble has an important functional role in any home and an aesthetic one, integrated harmoniously into the overall concept.

The wall on the right side of the hallway (where there are various visiting doors and the electrical panel) was furnished with white MDF bodies and a generous mirror, masking in a useful way the elements that were not desired to be seen at the entrance to the house. The hallway thus becomes a clean, uncluttered space, warmed by the wood tone and with quick access to everything needed.
