As it's summer and vacation season, ideas for homes where we can spend our free time are welcome.
We have prepared for you a wonderful holiday home in Corsica, Italy.
The couple who became the owners of this property visited the world in one year and decided to retire to an intimate place in Corsica, where the grandparents' house built in the 1970s is located.
Located near the sea, the theme they approached combines nautical elements with a retro style, they claim that this is also what they like most about this house: the fact that it looks like a ship.
In the living room, nautical motifs predominate, the centerpiece being a 3D map of Corsica Island decorated with small models of ships, surfboards, a lighthouse and a house. Next to it are other paintings with ship models collected by the two's grandfather.
The first level of the house serves as a second living room and can also be used as a guest bedroom. The stairs leading up to it resemble elements specific to a ship. Hanging ropes complete the harmonious theme of the house. The color palette ranges from black, brown and orange.
The terrace is the owners' favorite place. It's where they enjoy the sea breeze and can step out into the immense garden that always needs care. In fact, gardening is one of the couple's passions.
