The largest paving stone producer in Romania,Elis Pavaje, has completed work on the expansion of its factory in Stoenești, Prahova.
Located near Ploiești and built in 2007, this is the second of five factories owned by the company in the country. Following a €13 million investment, financed from Elis Pavaje's own funds and bank loans, the unit has reached a total area of 9 hectares, with a production capacity of up to 10,000 sqm of paving stones per day, from the standard and premium range.
The factory now produces the entire range of Elis Pavaje products in Stoenești: small precast concrete elements and pipes, covering plates and gutters.
The factory expansion also meant an increase in the number of employees to 120 people, with the number expected to grow shortly. Currently, the companyElis Pavajehas a total of 876 employees.
The showroom will also be expanded and is already the largest in the country.
The construction site required finding innovative solutions to optimize the production flow.

The construction involved a tower for aggregate supply, for which we chose a vertical solution that saves space and allows for faster feeding. The work was carried out without any problems and we are proud of the achievement," said Emil Goța, General Manager of Elis Pavaje.
The company remains committed to protecting the environment and the health of Romanians by using renewable energy sources; therefore, the new sections of the Stoenești factory will be powered by solar energy, a project in this regard is underway.
Currently, work is also underway on expanding the company's showroom, located in Stoenești. Through the new project, the showroom will reach a total area of 4,500 square meters and will include all categories of Elis Pavaje products.
