Open GalleryIn this case, arranging the yard should be done following advice from professionals in the field. We thought that, first and foremost, for any yard, paving is very important, which is why we sought the help of a specialist to tell us what the latest trends are in yard arrangement.
Mariana Bradescu from Piatra Online.ro shares some tips to help those who want to arrange their yard or garden.
What are the trends in the field of yard arrangement?
For the garden, attention is focused on the coherence between interior and exterior, on arranging a living area in the garden (with an outdoor fireplace or outdoor kitchen) and there is a growing interest in cisterns or fountains. Romania's garden arrangements are inspired by the Mediterranean region.
What decorative plants do you recommend for decorating yards?
Depending on the chosen style, there are a few principles to keep in mind: for example, in the case of a Japanese garden, flowering plants are almost non-existent, other aspects of the garden are emphasized.
You can go for a vibrant, colorful arrangement, especially when the Mediterranean style is adopted, or you can make more conservative choices with flowers in a single color. Personal preferences of the beneficiary matter a lot.
What are the most requested paving models for yards at the moment?
Certainly, the stars in the case of outdoor arrangements are travertine and 3 cm thick marble paving stones in various sizes, including the French pattern model and slabs for paths in brown shades and the entire cream palette.
From a mounting point of view, which ones are the easiest to install?
Any natural stone model is easy to install as long as it is done by a team of professionals. In this case, any type of material will have a spectacular appearance at the end of the installation. When we use teams from outside the field, we risk ruining the entire planned arrangement.
In the case of slabs, when it comes to creating paths in the garden, they can certainly be installed by "amateurs" as well, taking advantage of this opportunity for a family activity, but, as we said, for more complex work, a team of professionals is needed.
What do you think about the combination of stone and grass? Pieces of stone placed at regular intervals, and grass planted in the remaining spaces.
