Architect Ged Couser is the director of Europe's largest architecture group, B DP. The firm he leads is highly awarded (with 500 awards to date) in the field of architecture and construction worldwide.
Ged Couser has undertaken projects focused on the medical center field in both England and other European countries. His latest project, "Alder Hay Childrens Healthpark" in Liverpool, involves the construction of a clinic and park for the therapeutic benefit of patients and staff.
His project portfolio also includes educational projects, such as the construction of Universities in Libya. His architectural and design approach is sensitive and results from consultation with patients, visitors, staff, and testing groups, all to develop an ideal space concept.
Buildings designed and decorated with the Ged Couser imprint are easily recognizable, effortlessly combining straight forms with undulating ones, complex textures with smooth glass, vibrant colors with simple hues, without the final result being jarring. Everything has an aura of peace and calm that can have a healing effect.
The colors he uses are usually integrated into the landscape and complementary hues are employed. Nature is not neglected in Ged Couser's creations; there is plenty of greenery around the buildings, and in his Liverpool project, the buildings themselves are covered with vertical gardens, while the roof level connects with the ground on one side.
It gives the impression that the hospital itself is a meadow. In the gallery you can find some images of his projects.
