One of the most unpleasant things that can happen in an apartment is the appearance of kitchen cockroaches. To successfully get rid of them, you need to follow a few simple steps for a period of time.
1. Deep clean the kitchen
Wash dishes immediately: Do not leave dirty dishes in the sink overnight. Wash them immediately after use or store them in a closed dishwasher.
Vacuum and mop floors: Vacuum and mop the floors, especially in corners and under appliances, where crumbs and debris can accumulate.
2. Seal entry points Check for cracks and crevices: Cockroaches can enter the kitchen through the smallest spaces. Inspect the walls, floor, and areas around pipes and seal any cracks or crevices with silicone or putty.
Install protective screens: If you frequently have open windows, install screens to prevent cockroaches from entering from outside.
3. Eliminate water sources Repair leaks: Cockroaches need water to survive. Check kitchen faucets and pipes for leaks and repair them immediately.
