Romania's largest paving stone producer, Elis Pavaje, is expanding its factory near Ploiești to meet the growing demand for construction and outdoor landscaping materials. The investment is €13 million and comes from reinvested profits as well as bank loans.
Located near Ploiești in Stoenești, the Elis Pavaje factory is the second of five factories owned by the company and was built in 2007. Currently covering 5 hectares, the factory will expand by an additional 4 hectares.
The production capacity will double, reaching 10,000 square meters of paving stones per day. The implementation of machinery for the production of gutters and drainage elements is also planned.
The positive impact of the factory expansion will also be felt in the number of employees. Currently, 60 employees work here, and after the expansion, the total number of people working will be 120. The company currently has a total of 845 employees.

“Expanding the Stoenești factory is necessary to cover market demand. The production lines will produce all ranges of Elis Pavaje products: premium and standard paving stones, slabs, curbs, bollards, blocks, concrete products for garden landscaping, including drainage elements and gutters, which were not previously produced at this factory.
We are supporting our industry with high-quality Romanian products made from raw materials sourced locally and through the recycling of construction materials. This occasion will also see our Stoenești team grow and we look forward to meeting and integrating new colleagues into the Elis Pavaje family.” – stated Emil Goța, General Director of Elis Pavaje
The works for the factory expansion are expected to be completed in September 2024, when the new machinery will also be put into operation. By increasing production capacity, Elis Pavaje will consolidate its position as a leader in the ranking of producers of construction materials intended for outdoor landscaping.
