The story of this renovation began with the desire of the owners (a family with two children) to complete a construction that would not be just a simple house but one they could call "home," their place of peace and refuge.
Collaboration with the beneficiaries proceeded naturally, as the architect recounts that this is their third collaboration, having previously designed two other apartments for them. Thus, in this project, although much more complex, trust and involvement played a key role.
The dwelling was under construction, at the "red brick" stage, when the interior design project began. The project lasted about three months (with all details carefully analyzed and designed, the list of finishes and furniture prepared). Including the implementation of the project, the house was completed in one year, finalized in 2021.
Starting from the style and needs of the beneficiaries, a unitary concept was proposed, with an emphasis on comfort, aiming for a bright, airy, optimistic design. Mainly neutral colors were chosen, elegant color tones, enhanced by accents of intense colors (the orange velvet of the dining chairs, shades of blue in the bedroom, the yellow accent armchair).
The 188 square meters of interior space are distributed over two levels, efficiently delimiting the day area from the night area.
The ground floor corresponds to the day area and includes the entrance hall with generous storage for clothes, shoes, and accessories; dining room, living room, kitchen, office, bathroom, technical room, and garage.
The night area, located on the first floor, includes the master bedroom with its own bathroom and dressing room, and the two bedrooms of the owners' daughters, sharing a common bathroom in the hallway.
Cristina tells us that "the wallpaper from Zen Interior, with a pattern of pink blush palm leaves, beautifully accentuates the upholstered bed and creates a bohemian accent element in the bedroom. The headboard with indirect diffused lighting also highlights the wallpaper's finish.
