Winter can be a challenging time for our gardens, especially when it comes to protecting frost-sensitive plants. Low temperatures, strong winds, and snow can endanger plant health if adequate protective measures are not taken.
However, there are several effective strategies that gardeners can employ to protect their plants during winter, ensuring them a peaceful winter and a strong comeback in spring.

1. Protection for Frost-Sensitive Plants
For more delicate plants, such as lavender or boxwood, it may be necessary to use a protective cover made of textile material or a protective net. These will block cold drafts and provide a barrier against frost without retaining moisture that can lead to plant rot.
2. Wrapping Potted Plants
If you don't have such space available, you can wrap the pots with plastic sheeting or cover them with insulating material to prevent root freeze. For added protection, you can place the pots on an insulating surface, such as a piece of polystyrene or wood, to reduce direct contact with the cold soil.
