The most fascinating “tree house” will be built on the Mediterranean coast of France, with a completion date of 2017. This megacomplex of luxury apartments, dubbed "the tree house" by the French, is the most anticipated building on the Hexagon coastline.
Construction will begin next year in the city of Montpellier and will be named L’Arbre Blanc, “The White Tree,” due to its numerous branches (terraces) that will extend from the 17 floors of the apartment block.
The building's design was created by French and Japanese architects in such a way that the "branches" of the building attract light into the interior while simultaneously protecting residents from the strong Mediterranean sun.
The entire block's roof will be composed of a series of penthouses offering views towards the ocean and mountains, and an art gallery and restaurant will also be built for all those who wish to gaze upon the Mediterranean Sea in a truly unique way.
The entire building, standing 56 meters tall, will have 120 apartments, with each level featuring a different interior design plan for the spaces intended for residents.
The city of Montpellier aims to become a hub for these buildings with a completely unconventional design, and that is why the local administration is considering the construction of 12 new buildings in styles that are increasingly more unique, extravagant, and luxurious, abandoning traditional architectural ideas.
Through this "tree house" and the following unique architectural projects to come, Montpellier will become a modern city in every sense, attracting architects and tourists from all over the world to admire these masterpiece buildings.
