For today, we propose you discover a new layout that we received from our reader, Dana. Let's find out her story in the following lines.

Open Gallery The adventure began nine months ago, in the first days of March, when I bought the apartment named Martisor. The arrangement has nothing to do with the Martisor theme because I don't have the slightest idea how I could have arranged it starting from this theme :).

What attracted me when I bought the apartment was its location in a quiet Constanta neighborhood and the fact that it was in a relatively new building, and the apartment was partially furnished, although it had not been lived in before.

Kitchen

The solution I adopted to save time and financial resources was an update: I replaced the two black doors of the hanging cabinets with white ones, built a cabinet that covers the central heating unit, changed the worktop and bar, which were black, to a material in the warm color of beech wood, and installed a frosted beige glass wall in the empty space between the height of the bar and the worktop.

The silver metal handles of the kitchen cabinets were replaced with black ones, much more suitable for the new look of the furniture.

I finally obtained a beautifully aligned kitchen, with a unified appearance and in tune with the rest of the living room arrangement.

Living Room

The big challenge was when I realized that I didn't have space available for the refrigerator, so I found the solution to install it in the living room. To avoid visual impact, I designed it incorporated into a piece of furniture matching the kitchen and the TV stand. I placed it between the dining area and the sofa in the living room.

Probably a more visually pleasing solution would have been to place it instead of the blue rocking chair by the window, but I really wanted this relaxation spot, so I made this compromise.

As a technical detail, I would like to point out that, by installing the washing machine and refrigerator in the open space living-kitchen area, I purchased as quiet appliances as possible. The sofa is an extendable one in light beige, close to the shade of the walls. I chose to paint the walls light beige throughout the house, and for the TV area, I opted for apparent brick with a worn look.

Against the beige-sand background, I brought the sea and the sun (as I said, I live by the sea :)) with shades of blue, turquoise, and yellow through small furniture items and decorations.

Bedroom

I wanted a slightly aged feel, so I chose furniture knobs with a worn look, a rusty metal chair, an old trunk, a worn rug, curtains and blankets with embroidery, simple beige linen, made of cotton or linen.

However, I revived the bedroom's appearance with a collection of marine landscapes painted on wood by Doina Vitu.
